Create an API user

Applies to: Users who manage API accounts.

These steps require access to Admin → Users. If you already have an API account, continue with the Quick start.

Create the account​

  1. Sign in to the VendBoard PC management system.
  2. Open Admin → Users, then choose New User.
  3. Enter Full Name, Last Name, Email, Login Name, and Password for the integration account. Use an account controlled by your organization.
  4. Set Third Party API Login to Yes.
  5. Set Access Level to Limited Access and select the required View permissions. At least one permission must be selected to save the account.
  6. Save the user and assign the user to at least one group. Then follow the Quick start with the account's Login Name and password.

Use and manage the account​

Use the created account's login name and password with the login endpoint. The returned access token is used for subsequent API requests.

To change API access, open Admin → Users → Edit User, update Third Party API Login, and save.
